Client Reviews
Monika C.
German national, Karon
"I came to Chaopraya Family not knowing what I was looking for — only that I needed to talk to someone. The initial appointment gave me a clear picture of where I stood. Nothing was rushed, and they sent a written summary afterwards which I read several times over the following week. It helped me make a calm decision about what to do next."

James R.
British national, Patong
"My situation involved property in both Thailand and the UK, and children whose schooling crossed both countries. Chaopraya Family coordinated with a solicitor in England and kept me informed at each stage. It took around four months in total. The fees were agreed at the start and didn't change. I appreciated that honesty."

"We used the separation agreement service — both my husband and I separately — and eventually came to a joint process that Chaopraya Family facilitated. It took longer than I expected, around six weeks, but the agreement we arrived at was genuinely balanced. The written review sessions before signing were thorough."
April 2025 · Separation Agreement Counsel
Anders S.
Swedish national, Kata
"I was not sure the appointment would be useful — I thought my situation was too complicated for a single session. It turned out the hour we spent together gave me a much clearer map of what was involved. I did not feel pressured to engage further, which is what I needed at that point."
May 2025 · Quiet Counsel Appointment
Luisa P.
Italian national, Rawai
"Communication was clear throughout. I have some experience with legal processes in Italy, and the pace here was quite different — much more considered. The fee was what they said it would be. The documentation was well organised. A four-star rating only because the process took slightly longer than I'd hoped, though I understand why."
April 2025 · Separation Agreement Counsel
David K.
Australian national, Bang Tao
"Cross-border family matters are not simple, and I had concerns about how a Thai firm would handle the Australian side of things. Chaopraya Family was very clear from the outset that they would need to work alongside an Australian family law solicitor, which they did. Their coordination was methodical. I was updated regularly."

Case Study — Separation Agreement
A straightforward separation made clear in writing
Challenge
A couple had reached a mutual understanding about their separation, but had nothing in writing. They were uncertain what to include and whether a Thai agreement would be sufficient for their purposes in Thailand.
Approach
We met with each party separately first, then together. A draft agreement was prepared covering their property, financial arrangements, and personal commitments. Both parties reviewed the draft with their own counsel before a final version was signed.
Outcome
A completed, signed separation agreement within five weeks. Both parties retained copies. The process was collaborative throughout, and neither described it as adversarial.
"We didn't want lawyers involved in the usual sense — just something on paper we could both trust. This is what we got." — N., April 2025
Case Study — Multi-Jurisdiction
Children's arrangements across Thailand and Scandinavia
Challenge
A family with two school-aged children needed to establish care arrangements that would be recognised in both Thailand and Norway. The parents were living in different countries, and neither legal system was familiar to the other party.
Approach
Chaopraya Family coordinated with a Norwegian family law practitioner. The Thai side was handled locally; the Norwegian recognition process was handled by the partner firm. Each step was explained to the client before it was taken.
Outcome
A care arrangement agreed and documented in both jurisdictions within approximately four months. The arrangement has been operating without dispute since mid-2024.
"I didn't have to chase anyone for information. I heard from them regularly, and when they said they were waiting on something, they explained why." — J., March 2025
