Counsel That Works Around the Person, Not the Process
Family law practices vary widely in how they treat clients. Here is what we do differently — and why it matters when you are navigating a difficult moment in family life.

In More Detail
Professional Expertise
The counsel at Chaopraya Family have spent their careers in family law — not as one service among many, but as the central focus of their practice. This depth of concentration means we are familiar with the full range of situations that can arise, and with the ways that apparently simple matters can develop additional layers.
Our team holds active registration with the Lawyers' Council of Thailand and maintains continuing professional development across both Thai family law and the international private law aspects that affect many of our clients.
- Active registration — Lawyers' Council of Thailand
- Specialist family law practice since 2005
- International private law in cross-border matters
- Children's arrangements across jurisdictions
- Separation agreements reviewed before signature
Client Service
Family matters are rarely comfortable to discuss with a stranger. We are aware of this, and we approach every appointment accordingly — without pressure, without judgement, and with genuine attention to what the person in front of us is facing.
Clients are given a direct point of contact throughout their engagement. We respond to queries within one working day, and we do not pass clients between different members of the team without explanation.
- Named contact throughout the engagement
- One working day response time
- Appointments arranged to suit the client's schedule
- Explanations in plain language, not legal shorthand
- No obligation to proceed after initial appointment
Value and Pricing
Our fees are fixed at the outset of each engagement. The Quiet Counsel Appointment is ฿2,500. Separation Agreement Counsel begins at ฿4,600. Cross-border family matters begin at ฿8,200. These figures are discussed and agreed before any work begins.
We do not bill for routine communications or administrative tasks that form part of a normal service. Where a matter requires more time than originally anticipated, we discuss this with the client before any additional charge is incurred.
- Fixed fees agreed before work begins
- No charges for routine administrative tasks
- Written summary included in appointment fee
- File retention at no additional cost
- Any scope change discussed and agreed first
